Tree was born as a passion project exploring how social media could evolve beyond entertainment into a platform that actively nurtures creativity, collaboration, and self-promotion. The idea was to design a social network that merges the familiar usability of popular apps with the flexibility of a marketing tool — empowering users, creators, and small brands to grow audiences, share work, and connect meaningfully through one unified experience.
Project
Most social and marketing platforms focus heavily on metrics, scheduling, and ad management — often at the expense of user experience, creativity, and genuine connection. Apps like Hootsuite and Sprout Social provide robust analytics but feel cold, corporate, and task-driven rather than engaging or fun.
Tree emerged as a passion project to humanize that experience — to create a friendlier, more gamified social marketing tool that merges the functional depth of those professional dashboards with the emotional familiarity of a social media app.
The challenge was to design a space where creators could manage, post, and grow across platforms while still feeling like they were part of a community — not a campaign. Tree set out to reimagine social publishing as play, combining analytics, engagement, and creativity into one approachable ecosystem that encourages growth without the grind.
