Merchant's Soul - A 3D Modeling project via Oculus with Gravity Sketch

3D Modeling Project during NYU Bootcamp in '21
I created this 3D VR composition for a Cohort project at NYU’s Tandon School for Engineering partnership with Emeritus.
The piece draws from my fascination with Japanese folklore, video game storytelling, and the visual depth of film and photography. Leveraging the power of 3D VR tools, I designed a dynamic scene textured in black Japanese silhouette clay paint to capture a sense of movement and atmosphere.
I framed the composition using a triple cut-out design inspired by Baron de Seguier’s 1839 bellows-fitted daguerreotype camera — an early innovation that later influenced commercial camera design in the 1850s.
